The professional extraction and processing method ensures an optimal and safe composition for cosmetic and food products. With a high purity of 99% and organic quality derived from vegetable oils, it is an ideal complement for various types of organic products. One biological method of producing glycerin involves using organic flaxseed. Organic vegetable glycerin is obtained through the hydrolysis of vegetable oils and fats. It was reportedly discovered over 200 years ago by the Swedish pharmacist and chemist Scheele during a saponification process using olive oil. In production, oil-rich vegetable fats are mixed under pressure with a strong alkali, separating the glycerin from the fatty acids. The wild bilberries (Vaccinium myrtillus) used for our organic wild bilberry powder grow on certified organic land in Finland, far away from industry and conventional agriculture. The wild bilberry differs significantly from the cultivated blueberry commonly found in supermarkets (Vaccinium spp., especially V. corymbosum). These are two fundamentally different species, which also have different names in English (“Blueberry” and “Bilberry”). A cultivated blueberry cannot become a wild bilberry through cultivation. Anthony William also emphasizes this distinction and explicitly recommends wild bilberry powder (“Bilberry”). The gently freeze-dried wild bilberries are carefully ground to produce the powder. Fresh plant material is passed through with steam. The oil- and water-soluble components that are released condense together. The hydrosol is the aqueous phase which, in addition to traces of essential oils, also contains fine plant active compounds.Hydrosols are particularly mild as they contain no alcohol and are therefore excellent for sensitive skin types and for versatile use in natural cosmetics. They are popular as toners, body sprays, for body care or as room sprays. Cultivation & processing on our own farmOur rosemary grows on sunny fields in Demeter-certified mixed cultivation.
