Immerse yourself in the world of baobab, a wonder of nature that offers far more than just its impressive appearance. Our baobab oil, obtained from the seeds of the baobab fruit by gentle cold pressing, brings traditional African folk medicine directly to your home. This rich oil is not only a treasure trove of antioxidants, but is also packed with essential nutrients that make it a must-have in your natural care routine. Baobab – Africa's tree of life The baobab, also known as the monkey bread tree, is an impressive plant deeply rooted in African landscape and culture. This tree, botanically classified as Adansonia, belongs to the mallow family (Malvaceae) and comprises several species found mainly on the African continent, but also in Australia and Madagascar. The best-known representative of this genus is Adansonia digitata, the African baobab. Origin and classification Originally, the baobab comes from the dry, hot savannas of Africa, where it withstands extreme environmental conditions. Thanks to its ability to store large amounts of water in its massive trunk, the baobab can survive long periods of drought. This adaptability makes it a vital component of the ecosystem. Baobab - Species and other names There are several species of baobab trees that differ slightly in shape, size and habitat. In addition to the African baobab, the Madagascar baobab (Adansonia madagascariensis) and the Australian baobab (Adansonia gregorii) are also known, for example. In different cultures the tree also has different names, including "tree of life" or "bottle tree" due to its characteristic bottle-shaped trunk. Components of the baobab fruit The fruit of the baobab is an important source of food and medicine. It is rich in vitamin C, calcium, magnesium, potassium and important dietary fibres. The baobab fruit also contains significant amounts of antioxidants, making it a valuable component in nutrition and natural health care. Baobab seeds are highly valued for their versatility and rich components. They are also suitable for the production of oils, such as our baobab oil, which is known for its nourishing properties. One oil, many benefits Baobab oil is rich in vitamins, fatty acids and antioxidants, making it particularly nourishing for the skin. These components help to soothe, protect and intensively care for the skin, making baobab oil an ideal choice for all skin types, but especially for dry and stressed skin. The leaves are freshly harvested and gently dried at temperatures below 30°C. This helps preserve valuable constituents as well as the plant’s color. Our product is 100% natural. Information & Use Please note that, under the EU Novel Food Regulation, Artemisia annua may currently not be sold as a food in the EU. Artemisia annua leaves are excellent for incense burning. For best results, we recommend the following steps: Prepare a fireproof incense bowl by sprinkling a little sand inside. Carefully light an incense charcoal from the side over a flame. Once the spark has traveled about halfway through the charcoal and it starts to glow, place it on the sand in the bowl. Wait until the spark has spread through the entire charcoal. Then sprinkle about three pinches of Artemisia annua leaves on top. Gently waft the rising smoke through the room using a fan or feather. When the herbal scent fades, carefully remove the residue from the charcoal with a knife and add fresh leaves. Ensure good ventilation by opening a window to let the smoke disperse. After burning, extinguish the charcoal with water or let it cool completely before disposing of it. A typical incense session lasts between ten and twenty minutes, depending on the amount used. Enjoy the relaxing and soothing atmosphere created by the incense smoke. Ingredients Annual mugwort leaves (Artemisia annua)*.*from our own cultivation. Each pack contains around 100 hand-selected seeds harvested from our own Artemisia annua plants. We grow without chemical additives or synthetic fertilizers, ensuring purity and quality. Grow Artemisia annua from our premium seeds We share helpful tips for successful germination so you can achieve the best growth results. Known to germinate preferably in warm spring light, these seeds require patience and the right growing conditions. Avoid sowing too early—wait for consistently warm spring weather. Even under ideal conditions on a sunny windowsill, germination can take 2–3 weeks. After a short growth phase in May, the seedlings are usually strong enough for outdoor planting. Artemisia annua can be started indoors or sown directly outdoors from May to June in garden beds or containers. As light-germinating seeds, they should sit on top of the soil and not be covered. Keep the soil moist without overwatering. If you have any questions or uncertainties, we’re happy to help! Product & order support: +49(0)3327 4372 090 Features and care Start indoors: not before AprilDirect sowing: late fall or from MaySowing depth: scatter seeds on the soil and press very lightly!Harvest: from June the herb (before or during flowering), from October the seeds. Flowering: yellow-green, August – OctoberHeight: up to 200 cmLocation: full sun to partial shadeSoil: poor, dry, undemandingFamily: Asteraceae – daisy family Ideal location for Artemisia annua Artemisia annua, also known as annual mugwort, thrives best in a sunny to partially shaded spot. For sowing, choose a warm, dry place in your garden or on your balcony. These conditions support healthy growth and help develop its distinctive traits such as strong aroma and robust bitter compounds. Make sure the soil drains well to prevent waterlogging, as the plant is sensitive to excess moisture. A full-sun spot can also support higher levels of bioactive plant compounds valued in herbal traditions. Choosing the right location helps boost the plant’s vitality and overall performance. Best harvesting practices for Artemisia annua The ideal time to harvest Artemisia annua is shortly before flowering, when the leaves reach their highest concentration of essential oils and active compounds—typically in late summer. For harvesting, cut the plants early in the morning while there is still dew on the leaves to maximize freshness. Use sharp scissors or a knife and cut the stems gently. It’s recommended to leave about one-third of the plant so it can regenerate and potentially produce a second flush. After harvesting, dry the plant material quickly in a cool, shaded, well-ventilated place to prevent mold and preserve quality. Take the opportunity to plant 100% natural Artemisia annua seeds from our own cultivation and experience the growth of this fascinating plant in your garden or on your balcony. Our seeds arrive in eco-friendly, plastic-free packaging—ideal for environmentally conscious gardeners and hobby botanists. Storage – Artemisia annua seeds Store seeds in a cool, dark, dry place. Artemisia annua Annual Mugwort Artemisia annua, also known as annual mugwort, is a plant species of the genus Artemisia. Annual mugwort is distinguished by its characteristic fragrance, often described as aromatic and refreshing. Its scent combines spicy, herbal, and slightly sweet notes that appeal to many people. The plant grows best in temperate to subtropical climates and prefers well-drained soil and sufficient sunlight. It can be cultivated both in pots and in gardens. Regular watering and removing weeds help ensure optimal development. Product advice and orders: +49(0)3327 4372 090 Organic Vegetable Glycerin as Extraction Medium Organic glycerin, also known as vegetable glycerol, is a transparent liquid with a viscous consistency and a mild, slightly sweet taste. The professional extraction and processing method ensures an optimal and safe composition for cosmetic and food products. With a high purity of 99% and organic quality derived from vegetable oils, it is an ideal complement for various types of organic products. One biological method of producing glycerin involves using organic flaxseed. Organic vegetable glycerin is obtained through the hydrolysis of vegetable oils and fats. It was reportedly discovered over 200 years ago by the Swedish pharmacist and chemist Scheele during a saponification process using olive oil. In production, oil-rich vegetable fats are mixed under pressure with a strong alkali, separating the glycerin from the fatty acids. Due to its properties similar to alcohol — being soluble in both fats and water — glycerin is ideal for extracting a wide variety of plant compounds. In addition to its preservative qualities, glycerin also has hygroscopic properties and a mild antimicrobial effect. Thanks to its organic quality and proper dosage, organic glycerin can be safely used in food products. Our organic glycerin is made exclusively from certified organic raw materials and is palm-oil free. The wild bilberries (Vaccinium myrtillus) used for our organic wild bilberry powder grow on certified organic land in Finland, far away from industry and conventional agriculture. The wild bilberry differs significantly from the cultivated blueberry commonly found in supermarkets (Vaccinium spp., especially V. corymbosum). These are two fundamentally different species, which also have different names in English (“Blueberry” and “Bilberry”). A cultivated blueberry cannot become a wild bilberry through cultivation. Anthony William also emphasizes this distinction and explicitly recommends wild bilberry powder (“Bilberry”). The gently freeze-dried wild bilberries are carefully ground to produce the powder. This process preserves the valuable nutrients and ensures outstanding quality. Contents 500 ml Artemisia annua Forte plant extract Artemisia annua: annual mugwort Artemisia annua, also known as annual mugwort, is a remarkable plant with diverse properties and a fascinating history. Originally native to the steppe regions of Central Asia, this resilient herbaceous plant has now spread throughout the world. This adaptable plant thrives in different environments but prefers sunny locations and poor soils. In the wild, it is often found along riverbanks or on fallow land, where it can quickly form extensive stands. Growing up to two metres tall, Artemisia annua develops finely feathered, fragrant leaves. Its subtle yellow-green flowers appear towards the end of summer and are pollinated by the wind. The plant produces numerous tiny seeds that spread easily by wind and water. In the folk medicine of various cultures, Artemisia annua has long held an important place, especially in traditional Chinese medicine. More recently, the plant has also attracted the interest of modern research, particularly because of its special compounds. Its characteristic scent, often described as herbal and camphor-like, also makes Artemisia annua an interesting culinary and aromatic herb. In some regions it is used to flavour beverages or as a seasoning in cooking. For gardening enthusiasts, cultivating Artemisia annua offers an appealing opportunity to grow a historically significant and versatile plant. However, caution is advised, as it can proliferate strongly under favourable conditions. Controlled cultivation is therefore recommended. It combines the traditional use of yarrow with nourishing salve bases in order to support irritated skin as gently as possible. It is commonly found in Europe in sunny locations, meadows and roadsides. For our salve, we use the flowering herb, which is especially rich in: essential oils, bitter substances and tannins, flavonoids and mucilage. In skin care, these ingredients are traditionally valued for soothing, protecting and nourishing the skin. The salve is applied externally to the affected areas, for example to cracked skin, after sun exposure, for minor burns or insect bites. It can be used several times a day, depending on need and tolerance. Especially valuable thanks to proazulene & azulene Our yarrow salve combines the best of two worlds: it contains both proazulene-rich yarrow herb and a proportion of pure yarrow essential oil containing azulene. This exceptional combination makes the salve especially rich in active compounds and intensive in its care. While the gently processed herb retains its natural plant substances in their original form, the essential oil complements the formulation with valuable chamazulene – a blue active compound traditionally valued for its skin-soothing properties. Flexible use & easy dosing – the drop form allows precise intake as needed. Part of our yarrow collection – medicinal plant of the year 2025, recognized by experts. Tradition & modernity in harmony – organic certification, EU origin, made in Germany. Yarrow – medicinal plant of the year 2025 Common yarrow (Achillea millefolium proa) was named medicinal plant of the year 2025. It belongs to the daisy family and commonly grows in Europe in sunny locations such as meadows and roadsides. The flowering herb is used and is rich in essential oils, bitter substances, tannins and flavonoids. Traditionally, yarrow is used in drops, teas, ointments or sitz baths, among other forms. Our yarrow stands out due to its high content of natural proazulenes – the precursors of chamazulene, which is known for its special plant power. These sensitive compounds are largely preserved through our gentle production in alcohol or oil – a mark of quality that makes our tincture and oil especially distinctive. Natural and Free from Additives
We produce our plant-based products without industrial machinery, using careful handcrafting directly on site. This allows us to treat the plants with great care and ensure the outstanding quality of our natural products — something that is particularly important to us. From sowing to the final product, our products are 100% natural. They are made without pesticides, chemicals, or other additives, are vegan-friendly, and contain no fillers, colourings, or preservatives.
From Our Own Hands
The majority of our plants come from our own cultivation or from wild harvesting. Some herbs that we consider essential to our range cannot be grown by us directly. In these cases, we source them exclusively from producers who meet our high quality standards. We place particular importance on personal relationships, sustainable organic cultivation, and fair working conditions.
