Immerse yourself in the world of baobab, a wonder of nature that offers far more than just its impressive appearance. Our baobab oil, obtained from the seeds of the baobab fruit by gentle cold pressing, brings traditional African folk medicine directly to your home. This rich oil is not only a treasure trove of antioxidants, but is also packed with essential nutrients that make it a must-have in your natural care routine. Baobab – Africa's tree of life The baobab, also known as the monkey bread tree, is an impressive plant deeply rooted in African landscape and culture. This tree, botanically classified as Adansonia, belongs to the mallow family (Malvaceae) and comprises several species found mainly on the African continent, but also in Australia and Madagascar. The best-known representative of this genus is Adansonia digitata, the African baobab. Origin and classification Originally, the baobab comes from the dry, hot savannas of Africa, where it withstands extreme environmental conditions. Thanks to its ability to store large amounts of water in its massive trunk, the baobab can survive long periods of drought. This adaptability makes it a vital component of the ecosystem. Baobab - Species and other names There are several species of baobab trees that differ slightly in shape, size and habitat. In addition to the African baobab, the Madagascar baobab (Adansonia madagascariensis) and the Australian baobab (Adansonia gregorii) are also known, for example. In different cultures the tree also has different names, including "tree of life" or "bottle tree" due to its characteristic bottle-shaped trunk. Components of the baobab fruit The fruit of the baobab is an important source of food and medicine. It is rich in vitamin C, calcium, magnesium, potassium and important dietary fibres. The baobab fruit also contains significant amounts of antioxidants, making it a valuable component in nutrition and natural health care. Baobab seeds are highly valued for their versatility and rich components. They are also suitable for the production of oils, such as our baobab oil, which is known for its nourishing properties. One oil, many benefits Baobab oil is rich in vitamins, fatty acids and antioxidants, making it particularly nourishing for the skin. These components help to soothe, protect and intensively care for the skin, making baobab oil an ideal choice for all skin types, but especially for dry and stressed skin. It absorbs quickly, leaves a soft and non-greasy feeling and improves the elasticity of the skin by providing deep moisture. Sustainability and quality At Kasimir + Lieselotte, we are committed to offering products that are not only effective, but also environmentally friendly and ethically sound. Let yourself be pampered by the power of baobab and discover how this wonderful oil can enrich your everyday life. Application For skin care: apply the oil to the skin after cleansing and massage in gently. Our baobab oil absorbs quickly and leaves no residue, so your skin immediately feels soft and cared for. For hair care: after washing your hair, work a small amount of the oil into the still-damp hair. The oil helps to nourish and smooth the hair without weighing it down. For scalp care: in the evening, massage a small amount of baobab oil into the scalp and leave on overnight. This application promotes a healthy scalp and can contribute to stronger hair growth. Artemisia annua Alcohol-Free Herbal Extract Based on Glycerin Our alcohol-free Artemisia annua herbal extract is made from freshly harvested leaves and prepared as a concentrated tincture (ratio 1:3). Before bottling into the 100 ml Miron violet glass bottle, it is regularly shaken by hand and allowed to mature for at least three months. Our product is 100% natural. Artemisia annua Annual Mugwort Artemisia annua, also known as annual mugwort, is a plant species of the genus Artemisia. It originally comes from the temperate regions of Asia, particularly China, but is now cultivated in many parts of the world. Annual mugwort is distinguished by its characteristic fragrance, often described as aromatic and refreshing. Its scent combines spicy, herbal, and slightly sweet notes that appeal to many people. The plant grows best in temperate to subtropical climates and prefers well-drained soil and sufficient sunlight. It can be cultivated both in pots and in gardens. Regular watering and removing weeds help ensure optimal development. Product advice and orders: +49(0)3327 4372 090 Organic Vegetable Glycerin as Extraction Medium Organic glycerin, also known as vegetable glycerol, is a transparent liquid with a viscous consistency and a mild, slightly sweet taste. The professional extraction and processing method ensures an optimal and safe composition for cosmetic and food products. With a high purity of 99% and organic quality derived from vegetable oils, it is an ideal complement for various types of organic products. One biological method of producing glycerin involves using organic flaxseed. Organic vegetable glycerin is obtained through the hydrolysis of vegetable oils and fats. It was reportedly discovered over 200 years ago by the Swedish pharmacist and chemist Scheele during a saponification process using olive oil. In production, oil-rich vegetable fats are mixed under pressure with a strong alkali, separating the glycerin from the fatty acids. Due to its properties similar to alcohol — being soluble in both fats and water — glycerin is ideal for extracting a wide variety of plant compounds. In addition to its preservative qualities, glycerin also has hygroscopic properties and a mild antimicrobial effect. Thanks to its organic quality and proper dosage, organic glycerin can be safely used in food products. Our organic glycerin is made exclusively from certified organic raw materials and is palm-oil free. Application – Artemisia annua Please note that Artemisia annua may currently not be sold as a food product in the EU according to the Novel Food Regulation. For use as a room aroma.
